Dozen Photo Challenge

For this assignment, I believe this is my most successful image. I believe it establishes a personal connection, allowing the horses facial features and details to stand out to the viewer as if they were really there. It also conveys the personality of the horse. His mouth is resting on the fence and his ears are forward, indicating a curious or positive mood, adding depth to the photo. The natural lighting also creates visual appeal by casting shadows and highlights, amplifying the image.

In my opinion, I think finding subjects to photograph for specific parts of the assignment were challenging. For example, it was relatively easy to come up with subjects for high and low perspective photos, but navigating the different lighting conditions and colors was a little harder for me. It required some exploration of different lighting techniques to find what I liked best.

To enhance the strength of my future images, it is important that I keep using these skills that I learned from this assignment, as well as experiment with various techniques. I will also take constructive criticism to contribute to the progress of my photography. I am eager to learn more about photography and expand my skills in the upcoming weeks, but for now I will be practicing in my free time.
